Most astronomical telescopes can be used to view terrestrial objects.
An alt-azimuth mount is best for daytime use since the mount is
oriented to move in horizontal and vertical directions.
Some telescopes give an inverted image and require an erect image
prism. To correct an image so that the view is correct top to bottom
and left to right, you should use a refractor or catadioptic scope
with an accessory called an "erecting prism" or a "45 degree diagonal".
Also, though not as common, a porro prism would correct the image
as well. |
